What About Other items?

There are numerous other items that can be recycled but not locally. These include car batteries, oil, paint, garden chemicals, household electrical goods and garden equipment. These can be recycled at centres operated by Rugby Borough Council at Hunters Lane, Rugby and Coventry City Council at London Road, Coventry.

If you have useable items of furniture to dispose of, consider donating them to Community Transport (024 76 691433) or Emmaus (024 76 228282). Both organisations operate on a non-profit making basis and will collect unwanted items for use by people on low incomes.

Are You Environmentally Friendly?

If you can combine your journey to the recycling centre with another trip in the same general direction, rather than making a special journey then you'll be helping the environment all the more.
