Binley Woods Village Hall Activities

The Village Hall serves the community of Binley Woods in a number of ways. It hosts the meetings of the Parish Council, the regular surgery of our MP, Bill Olner and acts as Polling Station in local and general elections. Other events include:

• Bingo

  We play bingo in the Morrison Room every Tuesday evening starting at 8.00 pm and finishing around 10.00pm. We also run a raffle with good quality prizes and a Tote with a cash prize.
   
  The bingo consists of two 5 house sessions with a tea break at half time (that's when you can have a nice social chat!!) The last event is the jackpot with a cash prize for the top and bottom lines. Full house is drawn on the day. If not won in 54 numbers we keep £2 each week adding a number each week until the Jackpot is won.
   
  Bingo tickets cost 10p and there is a small charge for refreshments. All proceeds go to the Village Hall funds.

• Binley Woods Neighbourhood Project

  A range of activities is organised throughout the year. New members are always made welcome. more

 


• Binley Woods Women's Institute

  Meetings and activities take place throughout the year. Visitors and new members are always made welcome. more

 


• Short Mat Bowls

  This is run by the Village Hall Committee and takes place in the Main Hall between 2.00pm and 4.30pm on Monday afternoons. We have two mats, which are set out by by the members at the beginning of each session. It is good fun and we would welcome new members. Anyone interested should just turn up and introduce themself. Please note we rarely meet on Bank Holiday Mondays.
   
  The charge is £1.50 an afternoon, but new members get their first afternoon free.

• The Church in Binley Woods

  Weekly Sunday Morning services and other activities. Visitors are always welcome. more

 


• TOPZ Club

  Topz Club is an after-school club for Years 3 to 6, Wednesday evenings in term-time, provided by the church. more
