Community Activities, Events and Resources

Apart from the facilities at the Village Hall and the different things that take place there, a number of other organisations offer services or arrange activities and events in the village. These include:

• Binley Woods Allotment Association

  The association was formed in 1980 at the request of various members of the community who wished to combine the pleasure of healthy exercise with vegetables grown by themselves. At the moment the 40 plots are all taken but vacancies occur from time to time.
   
  The current subscription is £18 for plot holders, but Associate Members can join at 25p which entitles them to use our trading shed.

• Binley Woods Junior Football Club

  The club has a total of 10 teams and have links with the senior football club Woods United. We currently play in the John Bryant Coventry & District Sunday Minor Football League who hold affiliation with the Birmingham County Football Association and our girls side play in the Leicester City & County Girls Football League. Included in our 10 teams is an all girls side (under 12) and two Under 8 teams. Our age base runs from Under 8 (6,7 year olds) up to Under 15. We accept anyone within the Club and all Managers and Officials are Police checked to ensure their suitability to work with children. We meet once a month (on the third Tuesday), to discuss business and ways to promote the Club.
